150th Anniversary of the Cornwall Building

The Alexandria Township Historical Society’s museum is housed in the Cornwall Brothers Store, which was built in 1866.

ATHS will honor the 150th anniversary of the construction of our building with several events.

Commemorative Stamp Cancellation, USPS
July 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the corner of Walton and James Streets.
Hand cancellation with Cornwall Brothers stamp will be available upon request at the Post Office in Alexandria Bay for the rest of July and until August 9.

Exhibit Opening and 150th Anniversary Reception
Sunday, July 10, 4-6 p.m. at the Cornwall Brothers Store Museum
View the new exhibits~”Rediscovering Fitzgerald & Lee” and “Families of the River: A Cast of Characters” featuring Hunter Fuller Grimes.

The Return of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”
August 11, Reception for participants 5-6 p.m. at the Museum
$85 for ATHS members, $100 for non-members
