The museum is housed in the historic Cornwall Brothers Store along the waterfront in Alexandria Bay, NY. The collection, which includes skiff, boat building tools, hotel/resort memorabilia, artifacts, decoys, etc., represents the lifestyle of the river community from the late 1800s through the 1940s.

ATHS has an active volunteer base, as well as an active board. Alexandria Bay is in the heart of the Thousand Islands, a bustling summer community. The Cornwall Brothers Store Museum is located directly across the St. Lawrence from Boldt Castle, a major tourist attraction.
